So it turns out that thoughts REALLY do manifest reality… And I’m speaking from a strictly scientific perspective.
WHAT?! Science says thoughts manifest reality???
Yes, it does… Just that it’s off the record. It’s not easy for scientists to come to terms with these findings, and that’s why the words of the scientific community still echo the old paradigm of materialistic determinism.
Unfortunately for them, what the field of quantum mechanics has been doing for the passed 90 years is destroying the foundations of what Science has built itself upon – the concept of a fundamental objective reality.
Okay, I really should have stated my opening statement a little more precisely… I’ve never heard or read anywhere the specific terms, “science says ‘thoughts’ manifest reality”. However, what they do explicitly say is that subjective observation or measurement defines quantum events. Now that’s pretty close.
But what’s the difference?
The difference is, subjective observation or measurement could technically be construed without implying there is a thought process, because here we are more accurately just pointing towards the aware nature of subjectivity. Within this arena of awareness, thoughts occur. The two concepts though, are distinctly different from each other. Awareness is an abstract ‘container’ in a sense, while thoughts are a discreet point of a process – the process of imagination.
It is perfectly evident in all of us that every one of our aware experiences is followed up with thoughts we have about that experience. No one is aware without there being thoughts to accompany that awareness. It is the human condition. This brings to mind meditation – but I’ll save that for another post.
LEARN THE FIRST STEP TO START MANIFESTING YOUR DESIRED REALITY
So back to the point…
This process of thinking of yours turns out to be quite interrelated with the subjective observation you are doing. You are aware and observe. This awareness of yours is then filled with this voice you have (which is you) that is nothing more than a constant stream of thoughts or thinking.
So what this really boils down to is that your thoughts draw a perspective on the events in your awareness, and in so doing, mould the outcome that is the defining point of objective reality.
Whoa! Say whaaat!?
Basically, thoughts are like a stream of motion within subjective observation. The word ‘cognition’ is the technical reference to this process – which is what we call thoughts, or thinking. So you can look at cognition as a process that happens within awareness.
Now, what we get out of this is, thoughts being the part of awareness that distinguishes between probabilities and therefore are at the core of defining the final outcome.
…Like I said – thoughts manifest reality.
Awareness (or subjective observation) is where science agrees objective reality is defined. What they were missing is that thoughts are the factor within awareness that weed out the probabilities in order to render the final defined state.
This means that what you think, is working to fix probable events into actual outcomes.
My personal assertion is that awareness lays the platform for the existence of probabilities while thoughts take that abstract and define it into a single, coalesced rendition – and that’s what we call objective reality.
This is nothing we have to take on faith either. A simple look into the science of quantum mechanics can show this without getting too complex. It’s definitely not simple, but by no means is it beyond the reach of anyone who puts in a concerted effort to give it some thought.
A modern physicist named, Eugene Wigner, who has been at the forefront of some of the most advanced experiments in modern physics has these things to say:
“Solipsism may be logically consistent with present Quantum Mechanics; Monism in the sense of Materialism is not.”
Solipsism being the idea that the ‘Self’ is all that can be known to exist.
…He also said…
“The laws of quantum mechanics itself cannot be formulated … without recourse to the concept of consciousness.”
…And…
“[While a number of philosophical ideas] may be logically consistent with present quantum mechanics… materialism is not.”
…And let’s not forget…
“We have to give up the idea of realism to a far greater extent than most physicists believe today.”
…And in the final verdict of the 2012 experiment, elaborately designed to test if conscious observation was in fact central to the nature of reality, or if realism was the true nature of things – they had this to say…
“No naïve realistic picture is compatible with our results because whether a quantum could be seen as showing particle or wave-like behaviour would depend on a causally disconnected choice. It is therefore suggestive to abandon all pictures altogether.”
What they’re saying here is that the results of the experiments are quite evident at showing that observation is indeed connected with the raw matter and energy of this concrete universe we experience. Or in other words, there is no reality as such without the act of observation. Without observation, reality cannot distinguish itself… Period!
